Clear-coating insects

I understand that there is a liquid that when it dries looks like glass. Some people cover scorpions or insects with it. Will some one tell me about it?

First of two simultaneous responses --

It is a casting grade of acrylic. Available from several industrial supply houses.

Hi Joe,

That thar liquid is PLEXIGLASS ... well, once cured it is. What you need is some liquid methylmethacrylate plus some catalyst or promotor. This is what Denturists use to make false teeth (except they colour them) Go look in your Yellow Pages for a Plastics Shop Supplier.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
