Preservatives for copper

2003

I want to put a preservative on copper so that it will not tarnish. I have tried lacquer but I am not to pleased with it.

I am using copper sheeting and copper pipe. Do I need to buy all my copper from the same seller. I have had a problem when I lacquer it that some of the copper turns a different color than the other copper.

My goal is to have all the copper look the same color and put a preservative on it that will protect it from the environment.

Thank you for your input.
