Powder Coated Machine Skins in a Cleanroom

Q. My company is an OEM equipment builder for the semi-conductor industry. All of our equipment goes into cleanrooms. My question is that of using powder coated sheet metal in this environment--is it done (to your knowledge), does the paint break down over time and cause a dust problem?

Any info would be appreciated

A. There is no objection whatsoever in using powdercoated objects in a cleanroom-situation.

Good luck,
