Inquiry about Nickel-Zinc alloy Electroplating

We would like to know about the process of Nickel-Zinc alloy plating on M.S. Components. Is it possible or not ? As per abroad report we have found in their test report that there is nickel-zinc plating determined during the testing.

Yes, there are zinc-nickel plating baths available. But I am having a difficult time understanding your question. I'll guess that you have found some product line which is manufactured in a different country and you are trying to reverse engineer and duplicate it without knowing what the finish is or why it has that finish, but you did some tests which revealed nickel and zinc in the finish? For best answers please try be more direct in your questions. Thanks.

Dear Mr Puri,

Alloy platings Chemistry is available and Zinc-Nickel is one of the best platings for corrosion resistance and temperature tolerance. Nickel is alloyed with the zinc at about 12-15 % generally.

Mr Puri,

It is entirely possible you have come across a spec that calls for Zinc Nickel alloy plating.

This type of finish is used for high corrosion resistance and it is possible to do this in Faridabad.

The amount of Nickel will vary from 8 to 15 % .
