Need bismuth oxychloride

2003

I am looking for bismuth oxychloride for a gun bluing formula that is found in a book by R.H.Angier =>

He said it is the best one in a collection of around 300 formulas. It is called Creusot brown and found on page 71, ac.1.

2003

I work at a university biochem lab and can get 10 to 50 grams of bismuth oxychloride for about $40.00. I have RH Angier's book as well and I want to try some of those same solutions. I can get the mercuric chloride real cheap ~8.00. And from what I have found the spirit of nitre is just nitric acid. Let me know if you are interested!
