Will Anodized Aluminum outgas in a cleanroom ?

I am designing a hand held UV wavelength detector Wand. I wanted to use aluminum so it will be lightweight and durable. I also want to have it clear anodized to protect against corrosion. The Wand may be used in a clean room environment. My main concerns are the possibility of outgassing and the effects of UV, if any. Can Anodized aluminum be used in a cleanroom environment or is there a better choice?

There is no generic rule that I am aware of for outgassing of anodize. Make sure that it has a good sealing step done on it and your outgassing will be ultra close to zero other than if heated or in a hard vacuum.

You should have no worries at all, providing the parts are adequately sealed.
