"Looking for "SILVERON""

-----

2003

Q. I am trying to find a product called SILVERON that polishes & replates silverware. I believe it is made in Cranbrook, BC but don't know the name of the company or where I can locate the product in the lower mainland of BC Canada.

A. People have been looking for that product on this site since 2001, but no one has yet replied where to get it. But we now have an FAQ with current sourcing info for several other resilvering products including Jax Silver Plating Solution [affil link], Medallion Liquid Silver Plating Lotion, Miracle Silver, Nu Silver, Quickshine, Silver Plating Formula, and Silver Secret.

A. I recently found a bottle of Silveron powder in a storage container. It was approximately 35-40 years old. The manufacturer was listed as Burland Chemicals in Burnaby, BC.
I could not find any info about them on the Net.

A. Glad to see you list other products that might do the same job.
Thanks.
I bought a small plastic bottle of "Pure Silver Plate" - a liquid that worked wonderfully to restore and polish silver in Everett WA. in the 1960s or 70s from a leather supply store. It is all gone now but I kept the bottle - it listed the manufacturer as Burlund Chemical in Cranbrook BC.
Quite toxic by today's standards I'm sure.
