Solution for Gold plating on Stainless Steel?

Would like to make a gold plating solution with potassium cyanide for plating gold or stainless steel. Please help me make the right solution, as I have tried to but it does not work as it should. Any one can help?

Dear Nik ,

Without a better description of what "didn't work" I am afraid I would be only guessing , however , there is a wealth of information and service available from people such as Technic who specialise in Gold plating proprietary chemistry , give them a call , don't try to reinvent the wheel !
