Non-Cr strike pre-plating process for Mo
I have a pure Mo part need to have about 0.3µm of Rh plating layer. It is suggested from
Electroplating Engineering Handbook ⇦ this on
eBay,
AbeBooks, or
Amazon [affil link]
that a Cr strike is required before any other metal plating. Is there any optional(non-Cr) strike process?

Can anyone suggest a pre-treatment for plating on Mo? Is it a must to undergo Chromium strike before any other plating layer? I have tried a very high % acid pickle followed by wood Ni strike, the adhesion is very poor. Please advice.
