Help... need non toxic clear coat for metal
2003
Hello,
I came across this website and thought maybe you'd have an answer for me. I am in the process of making a fairly unique sink for my bathroom. It is an 18 inch sq. piece of thick sheet metal that I've cut from the middle of one side to the centre and then overlapped it to form a very shallow cone. At the centre of this cone a hole is cut out to make my drain. The overlap has been welded together to hold the shape and left to the natural weather to have it rust. Now I want to seal in the rust and prevent it from rusting any further and make it useable as a sink and still see the effects of the weathering. So I would like to use some sort of clear coat the will be fairly thick and durable when hardened as well as being non toxic when hardened as I will be using it as my daily bathroom sink.
Thanks for your help.
