Finishing Aluminum

I am looking for a way to finish aluminum in my shop without painting. In the past we have random orbit sanded then followed with fine #0000 steel wool [on eBay or Amazon]. We then clean and wax, but we are never really able to get rid of finger prints. We would like to keep using this practice because it is cheap and easy, but I was wondering if there was something besides wax that we could follow up with that might do a better job.

Thanks,

I ALSO USE THE ORB SANDER TECHNIQUE BUT FINISH WITH A LIGHT COAT OF CLEAR ACRYLIC SPRAY - USUALLY KRYLON BUT NOT PARTICULAR. COULD BE STORE BRAND. HOPE THIS IS OF SOME HELP.
