Regenerate resin

Sir

I have HI-pure water that content resin ion exchanger mix between anion and cation exchange resin. I want to regenerate this resin. How to regenerate? Have this resin to separate first? If yes, how to separate? Thanks.

Yes, you need to separate them first. This is commercially done using a specific concentration of salt water where one sinks and the other one floats. I have no idea of the SG or which one sinks. Then the treatment of the resin depends on what type of resins you have. Then, it take a huge amount of rinse water to clear it of the treatment solution. Of course, this needs to be fairly pure water or it will load the resin again. You should contact the manufacturer of your product and seek their guidance on the specifics for their product.
