-----CRACKS IN CLEAR POWDER COATING
We use clear powder coating on nickel electroplating. The nickel before coating passes brushing by scotch and followed with hot alkali cleaner. We use polyester powder. Recently, small cracks appear on our articles, the cracks are not over the whole article only on small area 5-10 sq cm. The cracks appear days or weeks after the coating when the articles are at the customer. Can someone that is familiar with this phenomena advise us to overcome this problem and also how can we test the articles after coating if they are sensitive to cracking.
Thank you,

dear sir
if you want to overcome the problem you should increase the thickness of nickel plating. the thickness must be not less than 10 to 12 microns after brushing.
