Coating measuring

(1998)

Hello!

I'm doing reseach to Valmet Automotive Inc. which produces Porsche Boxster and Saab 9-3 Cabriolet cars. My task is to develop a paint measuring-station. I need to know

1) Paint thickness

2) Gloss

3) Dirts of dry paint ( finished carbody ) without touching surface.

Is there any equipment ( sensors ) available and what kind of measuring technique could I use ( optical, radiation, laser.....)? I thank for any information.

BTW. I just found this site and it seems to be one of very best sites I have seen in internet!
