Where to find the book "Metal Colouring" by Fishlock

--

I loaned out a book years ago, and cannot recover it now, but would like to buy another if anyone knows of the whereabouts of one.

Title: Metal Colouring
Author: Fishlock
Publisher: Draper (UK)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi, Ed. It's out of print but we've linked your mention of the book to a page here that lists a number of sources. Good luck.

I too lost a book on coloring metal, actually a magazine with an article on coloring stainless steel by applying a chrome oxide layer on the surface. If any one knows how or who supplies the process, please contact me. thanks

Hi. Finishing.com's supporting advertiser, B&M Finishers, offers this process under the trade name Prismatic Stainless Steel, and they may be able to help you, Todd.

Dear Sir,

I want to know if there is any paint or liquid metal available which can be applied on the surface of the metal which will make the non conductive metal conductive and then plating can be done on site without dipping.

Secondly how to clean the job before and after plating.

Hi, Rajat. Acheson Colloids offers conductive paints; then the articles can be brush plated with equipment and processes available from such companies as Gold Touch [a finishing.com supporting advertiser] and Sifco.
