Plating facility design
We are a start-up metal finishing company. We are preparing to build a 16K Sq.Ft. facility. Our desire is to make best use of floor space available while incorporating all appropriate safeguards.
We are anticipating Rack and Barrel operations: Zinc will most likely be largest line. Other lines will include: Anodizing, Nickel, Electroless Nickel, Gold & Silver and perhaps Copper.

Hi, Steve: Please see the listing of
finishing consultants. Also please read "Plating Shops for the
90's and Beyond". The Electroplating Engineering Handbook ⇦ this on
eBay,
AbeBooks, or
Amazon [affil link]
is a very good resource. Good luck.

You might want to try getting in contact with some other finishers in your area. AESF Phoenix Branch (NASF) is the closest organized group. The yellow pages of the phone book is also a good source.
I have personally found that my fellow finishers at AESF meetings can help a lot by relating (and showing in person) how their shops work. They can also recommend reliable vendors for engineering services and plant equipment.
