Organic passivating chemicals for silver plated brass items

(1998)

Hi,

I have some items of brass that are electroplated with 10 micrometers of Ag. Some of them are passivated using an organic pasivating system and some are not. I have two questions on this.

1.Does anyone have any info on the organic passivating systems that are available for silver baths?

2. I need to separate the passivated from the others. One way would obviously be to expose them to sulfur-containing substances but I would like to avoid that. Does anybody have any other suggestion?

Thank you in advance
