What's a good way to measure thickness of Nickel Coatings?





I am looking for an instrument for measurement of various Ni coatings. Can it be done by Eddy current probe or is there a better instrument ?

Also look into X-Ray fluorescence. Be aware that in XRF equipment, you get what you pay for. Low end equipment may not give you the analytical power that you need for your application. High end equipment will detect all elements from Beryllium to Uranium in ppm to high % concentrations, but they come with a hefty price tag.
