Technology for Superabrasive Electroplated Products

1998

To: Potential technology providers

We are a manufacturer of conventional grinding wheel in Taiwan and are looking for the technology of superabrasive (CBN & Diamond) electroplated products. Please advise whether you have expertise in this field. Have you heard about the technology--hard welding, in which the acid solution is not used in the manufacturing procedures.

Joseph Wu

One process that would work is flame, plasma, or arc spraying technologies. You can deposit thick, rough, and extremely had coatings, using a variety of materials such as titanium, chrome, ceramics, tungsten, etc.

Thank you, and good luck,

Ed. note: With great sadness we must advise that David passed awayt on Aug. 15, 2003.

I have not heard the term 'hard welding'. But for the electroless and electroplated diamond & nickel coatings, Surface Technology offers proprietary technology.
