"Lacquered Brass restoration and Metal Bluing"

-----

2002

Sir,

I have acquired a C. Reichert brass lacquered microscope. The finish requires attention, that is, both the polished lacquered brass and the dull dark finish of the slide table. Also some of the Bluing on the screw heads requires re-finishing. Can you suggest how I might go about the restoration of the finishes?

I would like information on the restoration of antique brass microscope as above.
