Using sodium bi carbonate in continuous galvanizing line

Am a galvanizer, heard about using sodium bi carbonate instead of chromic acid in galvanizing works of coil to coil line. Would like to know the method of using it in continuous line and interval of replenishing.

I am a metallurgical Eng,working in galvanizing field about for 3 years.
I think that can answer your Question:Acid HCl is used for Pickling and removing rust and oxides from the Surface of strip,Bi carbonate complexed with Sodium Hydroxide can be used for degreasing and removing dust and oils.
