-----Researching information on nail corrosion
I'm doing a science project for school, and I would like information on why nails corrode. Please include a website if possible. I am using polished common nails. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Nails corrode because they are made of metal, and for nearly all metals the oxidized state is a low energy, more stable form than the metallic state.
