Aqua Regia Etch Rate

I would like to now the etch rate and concentration for Aqua Regia (3HCl:1HNO3) to etch gold and silicon nitride.

Go look thou in thy yellow pages and see ASL CHEMEX ... and ask them, they're Assayers, they have been dealing with gold ores since you were born, perhaps ... ask for Lloyd.

They will probably have used ALL the nasty acids you can think of.

Anyhow, how can one state an etch rate? That varies with the amount of acid used, absorbed and the area of the samples you are testing.
