Rust prevention question

2002

I would like advice on rust proofing a vintage motor scooter chassis. The chassis is on piece with several channels and seams made out of cold rolled steel. What current process is available today to prevent such an item from rusting.

These chassis are prone to rust from the inside out, primarily rusting at the seams. How can one treat the inside of the chassis to prevent it from rusting at the seams?

Here is a picture of the chassis in question so that you can get a better understanding of what it is that I am talking about: vintage motor scooter Christopher [last name deleted for privacy by Editor]
