Powder coating adhesiveness and thickness checking

How do we check the adhesiveness, Thickness of powder coating on a tubular component, Rod & Flat surface?

Please specify the coating. Is it ferrous or non ferrous. There are specific tests available for both thickness and adhesiveness.
