Stain removal from doorknobs

When the contractor cleaned the walls with a clorox solution and then stained the walls, he did not cover the doorknobs and hinges. The hinges are rusting and the knobs have stain on them. Please suggest solutions.

You didn't mention what they are made of or even appear to be made of. However, if we are to assume that they are plated, the truth is that replating costs more than inexpensive replacements. If they are heirlooms or very high quality, a plating shop will replate them.
