What is the reason that aluminum alloy 6063 and 6463 pits during a bright dip process after been clean in a alkaline and acid cleaner.

Main reason of pitting is un avoidable delay in transferring the workpiece to related rinse tank. Using common rinse tank for etching and desmuting is another cause of pitting. When using cleaner remember silicate free cleaner to be used.
