Alodine Processing

2002

If I want to do Alodining in house what are the restrictions - EPA, OSHA, etc. which need to be considered? Will I have any disposal problems?

Donald Randall

Without exaggeration, you need to attend one of those three-day courses on the subject of metal finishing regulations. First there is the EPA CFR433 discharge regs, then the storage regs, then the manifesting and disposal regs. Then you need to know about the European Directive because it will impact your future processing. Then there's community right-to-know. And possibly a special tax on anyone using hexavalent chromium in your county.
