To dissolve cured epoxy to remove a metal ring with handle from the neck of an antique glass biscuit jar. Can it be done?

Yes, it can be done by using mixtures of solvents like Acetone [affil. link to info/product on Amazon], methanol, ethanol and some aromatic solvents. But care must be taken since majority of this chemicals are highly toxic and flammable.
