Q. Has anybody heard of Electroless Chrome plating. I work in a job-shop, and the spec. calls for electroless chrome, but I never heard of such a thing. Can anyone help me (literature).

A while back, one company advertised an electroless chrome substitute with the word substitute in tiny type and displaced from the word chrome. It was an electroless cobalt which is very hard and looks a lot like chrome.
