DEVA is a range of engineering bearing materials manufactured by the DEVA company in Germany. It is a sintered bronze composite into which is included suitable dry lubricant materials such as carbon black and PTFE. It also contains epoxy resin. It is normally applied to a steel backing. The product range was originally available through a British company called Glacier Metal Co, who became part of Associated Engineering (or AE as they later became known). This company was bought out by Turner and Newell (T&N plc) in the mid 1980's, who in turn got taken over by Federal Mogul in 1998.
