Hi Jian. There is no special trick to plating onto copper, but the subject of nickel plating does fill entire books, so it can't easily be detailed in a paragraph or two...

Please describe what article you are trying to nickel plate (there are many different nickel plating solutions), and how many (there are many different application methods including rack plating, barrel plating, and brush plating), and why. Maybe then the subject can be introduced in manageable length. Or go to your library and get a couple of plating books. Best of luck.
