Sheet metal cleaning

I'm trying to locate some equipment that would clean, in an assembly line type process, .031 full hard galvanized steel sheets. The sheets are 48"x 180" in length. We need to have them cleaned of the surface oils as well as abraded to a small degree.

The purpose is to enable the metal sheets to be fully bonded with adhesive to another material. We are currently cleaning the sheets with alcohol and abrading them with 3M ScotchBrite pads.

Try Century Engineering [Clifton, NJ]. This kind of machine is not cheap, but it is doable. Or you might talk to Advanced Deburring & Finishing [York, PA], who specialize in this kind of thing.

you might consider looking into purchasing galvanized metal specifically designed to accept finished surfaces (paint)

this material should also accept adhesive. Then all you would have to do is clean the material.
