Microetching of alnico alloy

Hi,

I have an Alnico (grade 5) alloy to etch. I don't have any references about that. Which reagent is commonly used and what will be the structure of my specimen. Do you have some pictures of it?

Thank you! Stéphane Godin

The most commonly used reagent for AlNiCo alloys is the Marbles's reagent. It'is made of 10g of CuSO4, 50 ml HCl and 50 ml of H2O. Immerse it for 5 to 60 seconds.
