Neutralizing agent

Sir,

We intend to manufacture Mild Steel Wires from wire rods and are interested to find out what neutralizing agent should be used after pickling the wire rod in sulfuric Acid & rinsing with water.

Your answer will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

A silicated alkaline cleaner should be good.

It depends what you want to do with the wire after neutralising it. If it is not to be plated then the above remedy will offer you temporary corrosion protection only.
