UV coating of Brass

1998

I have heard that it is not possible to utilize UV curable coatings on brass due to a negative reaction between the brass and the UV photoinitiator. Does anyone know whether this is a valid issue, or have the UV coating systems of today overcome this problem? Thank you for the help.
