ISO 9000 and QS-9000 Registered Company List?
Does anyone know if there is a list of metal finishing companies that are registered to ISO 9000 and/or QS 9000 available? Is there an on line source for this information?
Jeff PernickSince posting this request I have found that ASQ has been chosen by the Big 3 to maintain a central listing of QS 9000 companies. The list is available on their site at www.asq.org. Thanks for trying.

1999 Thanks, Jeff. Last month I felt a bit bugged that -- after many years of hype -- ISO 9000 registration seemed to say zero about whether a shop offered quality product. Some of the worst slop shops I know easily obtained registration, and some of the best still hadn't. So today I visit the site you suggested, to find this list you are speaking of, and I read that ASQ feels that they are the folks who should be in charge of the new Telecommunications Quality standard TS 9000. This peaked my interest. So I'm reading why they feel that they are especially qualified, when up pops a big dialog box on my screen that warns: The Digital Site Certificate Does Not match ASQ.org Site Name! Do NOT submit any credit card data that the page requests! I've always heard that "those that can't do, teach". Perhaps those who can't maintain quality standards themselves must enforce them?
