Non-cadmium brush plating touch-up process
I am trying to respond to a navy request for proposal. They are looking for a non-cadmium brush touch-up process to repair scratched surface plates (which ones?). I am looking for additional information on this subject, e.g. what mandates are they reacting to? what kinds of work pieces are typically repaired? is the repair typically made in situ in the field? what other properties are they likely needing? are they looking for just a repair technique or would a completely different coating, e.g. zinc, or zinc alloy be acceptable? any suggestions for other methods? Essentially, any information or a reference would be helpful. Does anyone have any information?
Thank you,Kevin Schell
