Welded aluminum vacuum chamber cleaning

(1998)

We have a large welded aluminum chamber (35" x 17" x 15") that needs to be cleaned to remove welding surface impurities. The chamber has already been hot tanked, acid neutralized, and rinsed but dark residues are present around the welds and white residues are present around tapped holes (probably from incomplete cleaning / rinsing ). Any job shop in near proximity to Sunnyvale, CA that can handle this task?

Dear Jeff, how does the residue affect the process? Are you working in a wafer fab? Would it be easier to just grind it or sand-paper it than sending it out?

You may have already found someone to do the job. It is not difficult to find vacuum people in CA.
