-----How do you apply galvanneal
I am making a marine trap that spends most of its time on the ocean floor. I've tried both zinc plating and a hot dip galvanize to the wire before applying a PVC coating in a fluidized bed process. I am having a problem with the PVC coating adhering. Someone has suggested galvanneal. What is this and how is it applied.

Galvannealing is essentially hot dip galvanizing followed by an annealing process that causes the zinc and iron to form intermetallics that are a good paint base. It seems that it should be easier to PVC coat than a galvanized finish. But isn't a primer required before the PVC coating?
