Titanium Nitride Coating by nitriding titanium

I want to produce titanium nitride coating not using PVD or CVD.

What I want to know exactly is can we coat a titanium rich surface simply by nitriding (nitrogen atmosphere). I want to devise an economical technique to produce TiN coating.

temperature is 900 °C degree

time is more 3 hrs

then your can gain a thin TiN film
