Need Silver Plating process for engineering purposes

I request you to send me technical and necessary information about Silver plating for engineering purposes. I used non cyanide silver plating bath that consist of Silver Iodide , Potassium Iodide , Calcium salt , Sodium salt ,with a Silver anode ,Copper cathode ,current density 0.65 AFS,Temp. 20 °C thickness of coating after 15 min is 15-18 micrometer .This process does not need under coating or striking. This coating is semi-bright ,this result is undesirable.

1) Would be better off to obtain very bright coating ? This procedure is expensive ,but properties of coating is good (such as adhesion).

2) Would I be better off at a economical process? My reference is U.S.Patent NO.4,003,806

Please send me your answer as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully

A. If there is no reason you cannot use a cyanide based bath, I would try it. There are commercially available cyanide based silver baths available from the major manuifacturers that produce bright finishes.
