Q. ASTM A109: COLD ROLLED STEEL STRIP, CALLS FOR DULL FINISH, 2B FINISH, AND 2BB FINISH. CAN SOMEONE INFORM ME THE CORRESPONDING ROUGHNESS VALUE, Ra FOR SUCH FINISH.
Thanks,

A. I believe 2B and BA are raw finishes and Ra varies depending on the mills producing them. As far as I know, there are no Ra standards for stainless steel finishes, 2B, 2D, #3, #4, #6, #7 or #8. Check with SSINA or NiDI.
Good luck!
