Colored Anodized Aluminum Information

I am beginning to work with colored anodized aluminum sheets making sculptures and I would like to know how to join the aluminum - soldering, adhesive, what? I would also appreciate any information anyone would give me on working with colored anodized aluminum.

Aluminum is not easy to solder, requiring very strong fluxes and some skill. Welding would seem to be the reliable joining method.
