Oxalic Acid in Type II Anodize

Does adding oxalic acid to Type II (not Type III) anodize solution have any advantages or disadvantages?

Guy Lester
plating co. - Ontario, California, USA

YES, INSTEAD OF ANODIZING AT 18 TO 20 DEG. C. YOU CAN ANODIZE AT ABOUT 26 TO 28 DEG. C. WITHOUT SACRIFICING THE QUALITY OF ANODIZING, KEEPING ALL OTHER CONDITIONS OF ANODIZING SAME, SAVING ON THE ENERGY COST FOR COOLING.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
