Hex chrome on pre-galvanized steel coils

We are a stamper that uses pre-galvanized steel coil stock. Automotive is pushing for Hexavalent free material. We are getting mixed information form our suppliers. If you order dry galvanized [either electro or hot dip] that uses a chrome seal to passivate the zinc, does all of the hex chrome breakdown and turn into trivalent after application at the coater? When the coil arrives at our plant is it free of Hex chrome?

Hi, Edward. I don't think there is any substantial breakdown. However much hex chrome they put on the metal is how much will is on the metal.
