Copper electro plating

I'm electroplating copper off of the inside of a stainless steel gun barrel. I think the barrel should have the negative lead on it. Am I right?

No, Jeff. It would be the positive lead. You want to raise the oxidation state of the copper, which means removing electrons, not adding them. Good luck.
