Where the
world gathers for metal finishing
Q&As since 1989

Lead
I'm working on our old tin ceiling at the moment. With a heat gun
[on
eBay or
Amazon] and stripper. But what about the lead which you find often in old paintings? Is that safe while I'm working with the heat gun?

I would definitely avoid breathing any of the fumes generated by the heat...lead fumes are nasty stuff
