-----Aluminum polishing and protecting
I am attempting to refinish several aluminum parts on my Harley. I have successfully removed the bad anodizing and polished them to a fairly high shine using various grades of sandpaper and polishing compounds. What can I now do to protect them and keep them looking good?
Thanks,
Jerry Eastwood- Princeton, New Jersey
As long as they are not high temperature parts, lacquering should work. It will eventually yellow, though.

Everbrite Protective Coating is another alternative for protecting your aluminum parts from corrosion or oxidation. It is easy to apply and will not crack, chip, peel or yellow.
