Tin over zinc plating

Would like to know the comparison of Tin plating on Copper against Zinc plating in mechanical and electrical characteristics

The question is: Comparison of Tin plating over Zinc plating over copper for connector , d-sub, electrical terminal contact portion. Is Zinc plating better than Tin in certain aspect? or any other advises you have?

Regards!

Zinc plating is a sacrificial coating, designed to corrode. It is not a suitable contact material.

You do not plate tin over zinc as it is porous. You do not even plate tin on brass. You need an underlayer of copper or nickel.
